no silly, not storage. i usually fire 4 shelves. so i have 3, 5 gal buckets in my kiln shed to hold ingoing or out comming shelves. kiln shed is 8' x 8'. so limited space. the buckets work well as little pedestals. no john, not yet. but soon. i have allthe parts. how is your new kiln doing? give us ...

are you making a big flat pocket to slide the photo in? that probably will not work. the glass picks up texture from the paper. one way to do a frame is to make just the frame and then use e-6000 or some other glue to glue it on top of the glass that will cover your picture. there are lots of ways t...

kiln unloading lesson for today
plastic buckets melt at around 200f. i just HAD to see the experiment on the 2nd shelf down. now shelf #1 is stuck to a 5 gal bucket. sheesh. r.

[you do not need to kiln wash a shelf if you are using thin fire. ].........you should always have some kiln wash on the shelf. if you over fire, the glass will go right through the thinfire and permanentize itself to the shelf. i have one full of overfired brock chad dots. rosanna
