glass needed for drop out mold

I'm wanting to make a drop out mold for a serving bowl. I'm wanting to know how many layers of glass are needed for the depth of the bowl.. I think I saw this discussed but can't find it in the archives. I'm wanting it to be approx 10 inch square with a 4 inch drop. Also, what kind of firing schedule would you use. Thanks Linda
