Paragon Kiln Repair

Post by Mike Garvey »

I am working on an older Paragon flat format kiln; its a model S1030 which is 56"x30"x16" (WxDxH). The lid heating elements are supported by ceramic tubes and one is broken. Paragon seems unable to provide a suitable replacement part and I am wondering if a) would fused quartz tubing work or b) can someone tell me what type of ceramic is appropriate?
Thanks

Paragon customer service is an oxymoron.
Call Duralite and get new elements and quartz tubing to suspend them in (within which to suspend them?).
PM me if you want more.
