SOFA Chicago

Post by david n »

I saw the earlier post about SOFA and wanted to say that I went to my first SOFA show in Chicago. It was the most amazing display of glass (and other craft) that I have ever seen. I was awestruck and humbled by the quality of work that was there. Also I was excited to sell a piece (see pic) on preview night.

Your piece is stunning; I absolutely love the snow on the branches!

I saw your work there, David! Its even better in person!
This was my first year at SOFA too and sold several pieces--I was (am) really happy!
I hope this is an indicator that the economy is improving...

Tami, I'm glad SOFA was good for you. I love the realistic effects you get with everyday objects made of glass!

David & Tami, LOVED both of your work! Congratulations on your success there and best wishes for your future glassy adventures!

Took this picture while my friend and I were in Dave's booth. So impressed! Just let me know if you prefer this not be posted...

Stunning! I am really thrilled with your branch work. I just took a birch tree acrylic painting class.....I can't imagine how you did those branches, with the light on them in glass...well done!

Congratulations, David. Your work has developed very nicely since your classes with Miriam di Fiore. Your work is just as lovely has Miriam's. Keep up the good work and hope to see you again someday.

We were lucky enough to have Sofa visit Santa Fe for a couple of years and I really miss it's presence here. Maybe I can get to one of it's other locations someday.
