The Wentworth Bartop

I finally got my bartop installed. It is in The Wentworth Hotel in Jackson New Hampshire.
Details: the 30mm thick glass bartop glass is painted with Sunshine series onglaze colors on the second of the 6 surfaces.
Heavy glass is quite a task without a forklift or crane. I owe a lot to my gracious neighbor who helped me move the big glass around.

Terry knows. If you want to devise a quintessential New Hampshire ski or golf experience in a totally picturesque small tourist town. The Wentworth fills the bill.

Great job Bert. Are the lights shinning down on the glass or do you have lights below it?

The lights are from above. China paintings can look good with moderate back lighting, but look horrid with strong back lighting. In this case, top lighting is far and away best. It is also best to have that lighting with strong and weak spots. Halogen is my preferred light source. This creates the best highlights.
There is 20mm of clear glass above the painting.
BTW, I learned from a large scale glass buyer that 10mm glass is the least expensive glass per pound thickness you can buy.
Bob, I wanted my client to choose grout between panels, but he chose paintable silicone. It is his maintenance chore.
