I use a LinkSys comb router/wireless hub and don't have a problem.
LinkSys offers a signal booster for the unit. You might want to check to see if such a thing exists for your Netgear hub.
If all your PCs are wireless you may want to consider moving the hub to a different cable connection in the house (that doesn't position the kiln in the middle) and see if that helps.
