fiber paper residue between layers of glass

Post by Barb Wolfe »

I'm trying to make a picture frame. I use 1/8" fiber paper between two layers of glass. Two problems: first, it is very difficult to "dig" the paper out between the two layers of glass. Is there something that will disolve the paper? Second, there seems to be a cloudy residue left. When I slide the photo into the channel left by the paper, the clear glass isn't clear - there's a film that clouds the photo. Is there a cleaner, or am I doing something wrong?

are you making a big flat pocket to slide the photo in? that probably will not work. the glass picks up texture from the paper. one way to do a frame is to make just the frame and then use e-6000 or some other glue to glue it on top of the glass that will cover your picture. there are lots of ways to deal with the back. rosanna
