plastic buckets melt at around 200f. i just HAD to see the experiment on the 2nd shelf down. now shelf #1 is stuck to a 5 gal bucket. sheesh. r.

So you use the kiln for storage when not firing...? I had to ask, okay! What's the bucket doing in there?? :twisted:

no silly, not storage. i usually fire 4 shelves. so i have 3, 5 gal buckets in my kiln shed to hold ingoing or out comming shelves. kiln shed is 8' x 8'. so limited space. the buckets work well as little pedestals. no john, not yet. but soon. i have allthe parts. how is your new kiln doing? give us an update please. rosanna
