Mold slumping hand prints

Post by DClutter »

I am trying to make a mold for slumping of my sister and her soon to be husband's hand print. I tried a cement mold last night, but it didn't hold the hand print well. I would like to try a plaster mold but I don't know the ratio of plaster to silca. Can anyone help me. Is there a better way of doing this?

What about clay?

I have used Raku clay on many occasions for molds.

It's easy and cheap.
