The Thompson Enamels for window glass have worked on float for me. You should test them on sample glass before you take on a big piece, there is some incompatibility in the color range they offer. Light applications will almost always work.
Thompson's standard 80 mesh will not airbrush, but you can order special grinds as fine as 320 mesh. Before you order any quantity try their sample pack, one small bag of each color in 80 mesh and sift them on some test tiles.

From what I've seen they fire to nice and clear colors. They offer both opaque and transparent colors for float glass. I would imagine the transparent colors fire the clearest in the larger grinds though.rodney wrote:hey ron,,,,on these very fine powders, are they clear and clean when put on in a thin layer,,,,would they cloud up, if put on thickly,,,thanks,,rodney
