Duncan Kiln sitter

Post by cindabr »

:D My husband came home with a kiln from an auction today. It's a pretty good size one. 19" deep and the top measures 22" across. It's a Duncan Kiln Sitter, Automatic Teacher Plus. The only thing is, it needs a new lid. It looks like someone dropped something on top of it. There is a huge hole in it. The top isn't made of firebrick. It looks to be made of thick stiff fiber board or a fiber blanket. How do I go about finding a place to replace it? I have a model and serial number for it.

Any help would be appreciated. Also, can someone direct me to a place where I could get a manual for it? Either online or by mail.

Thanks so much.

We get many requests about Duncan kilns, either people looking for spare parts or wanting to learn the value of a Duncan kiln. Duncan stopped making kilns a few years ago. Paragon Kilns has bought the name and supplies spare parts for these kilns. You can reach Paragon at 800-876-4328. Please have the model and serial number of the kiln available for them.
My memory is so good, I can't remember the last time I forgot something . . .
