I have an 8" X 8" fully fused 1/4" thick sand- blasted blank I need to
A) fire polish the ground edges of
B)fire polish the sand-blasted face of AND
C)slump
In what order do I execute those 3 steps, what temps would you use and how many firings will it take?
Any help is much appreciated. I have never fired sand-blasted glass before.
Can't really shoot 8-ball..... Rocky.

operations are hottest to coolest.
if you want a completely glossy tile, in my kiln a firepolish would be 1300-1350. a & b would be done in one firing.
a slump would be at 1125-1250 depending upon size and distance to drop. the smaller the blank, the hotter it has to be. a 20" blank would be fully slumped at 1150 for 15 minutes for me, but an 8" would take 1250 for 20-30 minutes at least. i look in and see when it's slumped enough.

How is the polishing going ??
If U wanna silky fire polish U could do on the slump only
But U will pos pick up mould marks
I sand blast to 280
With a side fire kiln
I use Baffle n Go n Zap n Blastem tm
Use baffles 2 keep mould cool
But get top heat on glass from elements
Then fire after aneal temps on full
Dont open door peep
When fin crash cool

You didn't mention what kind of glass. Any answers before that info are not too reliable.
