temp rate conversion

Does anybody know how to convert temp rates to Celsius so that us poor colomials in deepest darkest Africa can follow all the firing schedules that are posted

But I am asking about temp RATE conversion as opposed to straight F to C conversion.

On the fahrenheit scale, water boils at 212 and freezes at 32 for a difference of 180 degrees. On the centigrate scale, the respective figures are 100 and 0 for a difference of 100 degrees. Each degree C equals 1.8 degrees F. So, convert C rates to F rates by multiplying by 1.8, and convert F rates to C rates by dividing by 1.8.

Sorry people
I haven't made myself clear I don't want to convert 100C to F. I want to convert say 200F per hour to C per hour which is a different calc which I have lost

Jerry's answer is the right one.

To convert C rate to F rate, multiply by 1.8 (or multiply by 9/5)

To convert F rate to C rate, divide by 1.8 (or multiply by 5/9)

Rate of 100 C = 100 * 1.8 = Rate of 180 F

Rate of 100 F = 100 / 1.8 = Rate of 55.5 F

(As you realize, the calculator on the Handmade Glass site converts temperatures, not rates. This is the same calculation as above, only adjusted either plus or minus 32 for the different scales.)
