color mixing q (in a pot melt things went awry)

Post by lauren »

i did a pot melt, primarily BE turquoise and grey with a couple pieces of red and yellow to make things interesting. my pot melt came out brownish black, with a little bit of yellow. you can see a little turquoise and red on the bottom, but otherwise that's primarily the brown-black too. i brought it up a little higher than usual; i read the pyrometer wrong so it was sitting at 1550 - 1575 most of the time. was that the problem? or did the colors just maybe interact? iunno...

thanks
