Skutt HotStart Kiln

Post by Carolina Cricket »

Has anyone used the new Skutt HotStart Kiln that is being promoted by Spectrum's System 96 right now? A friend and I are currently fusing in her pottery kiln. I also have an old working Bullseye Fusing Kiln that does not have a pyrometer or automatic control that I hope to try in the future. I have moved to a 200 year old house and the wiring will not accommodate either my glass kiln or my trusty Evenheat pottery kiln. Thus, I would consider the HotStart, which works on regular 110 household current, but would like to hear from others who have used it before I go in that direction.

Anyone?
