I only know the opposite as far as being able to work in another country since we went from the states to Canada. It was a long, arduous and expensive process and we had it easier than most since my husband has the kind of computer skills that meant we went through in an expedited way. We got our information from Immigration Canada so I assume you would get yours through US Immigration which is here

Good luck!

Hey Amy:
I've been meaning to write you on the side cuz I do have another option which I keep forgetting about. I have a piece of property on Pender Island (just land no structure and is about 1/2 acre - on Magic Lake). I have had it for around 6 years now and have been there 3 times for a very quick visit in the 6 years. Even though the Gulf Islands won't have the heat I am looking for, it still would be better than Calgary. Any thoughts now for me about Pender or even the west coast?? P.S.: thanks for all your words of wisdom.

THANKS!!!!!
Well thought I would all let you know what my plan is. My plan is a 2 year plan: stay focused on paying off debt, buy a condo in the States (thinking about Arizona again), save as much as I can on the side, work on my glass and then keep my eyes open for a business to buy (glass or some sort of art business). Thanks for all your words of encouragement. I'm excited but scared that I will forget and wander off again, but......
