I Need Some More Schooling
I have learned a ton of stuff from reading off of this forum, but I
am a hands on person (see and touch). Went to a one day class
in Galveston (Beginner class) and learned a lot. I have a kiln and
have done approx 15 fusion projects, slumping and a drop through.
Want to learn more....
Anyone within a few hours drive of Houston and a few years of
fusing would be great.
My real job lets me slip out just about any day of the week.
Thanks

Paul has a website. You might go there for contact info if he doesn't answer soon.

My boss gives a two day private fusing class in Fort Worth. You use the big kiln to fuse a large piece and slump the next day. While the big kiln is "cookiing" you then use the smaller kilns. Larry is going to do a pattern bar class soon and some more advanced classes this year.
The shop has a website but the classes aren't up to date. But you can get info. on the private classes and location.

You can e-mail me if you want more info.......although Paul would be closer and I have heard nothing but good things about his classes.

Sugarland/Missouri City, about a hour from you. Went to the garage
this am to check on a 12" drop through I did last evening, the piece
was beautiful but it was also in 10 pieces. The drop ring was in three
pieces. Probably a hundred reasons why it came apart and this is why
I need some more schooling and soon.........
Since you are an hour north of here do you ever teach.??
Thanks

Most of what I know I've learned from a great teacher here in Dallas who will be opening her own studio sometime later this year. To date, she teaches in 8 week sessions, but plans on weekend workshops once she has her own set up. Send me your email and I'll make sure you get on her mailing list.
