Frit landscape
This is my first completed project after taking Miriam DiFiore's class. Also my first time to post a photo here. Both a big deal for me.

Re: Frit landscape
How nice--This does look like you have done many previously. Well done.
Re: Frit landscape
Thank you for the kind remarks. The previous experience was with a Roger Thomas class and that helped me get a feel for what the frit would do but I limited those to 1 or 2 firings. Miriam's class employed 5 layers and firings and lots of torch work for pulling branches. She is a disciplined and effective teacher! We completed 2 small projects during the class. A big benefit for me was watching the progress of David Norton's work posted here before I took the class and he was generous with his descriptions and replies. This whole posting thing unnerves me but I was so surprised and happy with the result I thought I'd go ahead and share.

Great job! Nicely composed piece. It looks like you've been doing it for quite awhile. Can't wait to see your next one.

Good Job! It looks very impressionistic. I like the water.

Thank you so very much. I enjoy this kind of delicate work which lets me continue to "paint" after there are no walls left for oils.
