flattening a bowl

Post by jim burchett »

Have a bowl that I foolishly tried slump and firepolish at the same time..now the exterior of the bowl picked up some marks where it hung up on the mold. I would like to re flatten the bowl and am wondering if it would be better to have it rightside up or upside down to successfully reflatten it? any thoughts? Thanks.

Right side up. Upside down risks trapping air.
