I have just finished 9 weekends of shows and used my GoPayment cc swiper on a 1st generation ipad with 3G service through ATT. I am very pleased with the way the entire processed worked. I had challenges connecting one weekend but so did most everyone else. The back end of finding individual charges, voiding a charge , etc is very easily accessible and doable.. I like that there is 24/7 customer service and used this several times over the show weekends when I had a question. GoPayment is part of Intuit and Quickbooks . It is easy to open an account and the swiper is fr**e. The rates are competitive and the first 2 months of lower percentage are usually at no charge. Thereafter, there is a $12.95/mo charge for the lower rate... or the slightly higher rate is at no monthly charge.
I am also pleased with ATT as the monthly plan for 3G is affordable and I can cancel it any time and rely on wi-fi for the months when I do not need the 3G.. I can also purchase a smaller amount of data usage if I do not think I will use a large amount of data .
Happy to answer questions or speak via pm
hope this helps,

I'm using the pay-as-you-go plan. There is no bank involvement as they issue a prepaid credit card. All sales go directly to that card and can be used for purchases anywhere.
