I am consistently getting large bubbles when I do simple two layer pieces? I place a large solid piece on bottom with smaller elements on top. My schedule;
400 1225 20
600 1480 60
AFAP 900 60
100 700 0
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I tried to post a picture but I get an error message that says the file is too big.

Slow down on the way up. Try 300dph, or 250.
You're spending too much time at the top (at that temp).
Do some experiments- see what happens with 15 minutes at 1480, or 30 at 1460, etc. You'll have to find the right combo for your kiln/glass set up.

Thanks Marty, I suspected that so I appreciate your confirmation. The piece just looked like it had gotten too hot. What do you think about this schedule;
400 1225 60
275 1460 10
AFAP 900 60
100 700 0

Re: Bubble trouble
Is your lay up two full layers of glass? By that I mean, are the smaller pieces on top fitted together, or do you have areas of glass that is only one layer thick in places? That can cause bubbles.
