Hi everyone,
I need some coarse frit and wanted to use up some scrap glass. So, yesterday I put it between cardboard and hammered away. I did pretty well (I think) and have what I need. My question is can some of the fit be small fingernail size. I'm planning on a freeform design for my flat disc which will be slumped into a drop ring. I'll hold at least an hour at 1225 for a bubble squeeze. Is this enough or do I have to go back outside and pound some more.

Bullseye's coarse frit is from 2.7 to 5.2 mm (about .1 to .2 inches). Spectrum and Uroboros coarse is a bit larger, 2.5 to 7.6 mm range (about .1 to .3 inches). None of that is quite as large as a fingernail, but if you're just wanting to make a free form design with frit scattered about, larger sizes will work fine.
