I have been *gifted* with a large amorphous shape of glass that is a LOT of dichroic fused onto black.
I can imagine cutting it up and remaking into something else.
Is there a way to test compatibility by fusing a test peice to something of known compatibility and checking for stress?
I think I know how to do, but would appreciate it if someone could wallk me though.

I don't think I would reuse the glass in a project. However, you might enjoy testing the glass for compatibility. Here are two articles that show how to use polarizing filters to test for stress. I experimented with filters and with polarizing sunglasses:
