For the first time I put a piece in ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, which is ending on Sunday. I thought I would share my entry (16"x22'X1"). What a crazy big exhibition that is! It's literally all over the city - 1536 artists in 174 different venues! I was excited to make it to the top 25 in the 2-D category in the public voting. I didn't make it to the top 5 this week in that category, but that's OK, the work that surpassed me was deserving.

Beautiful piece! I particularly appreciate the fine work you've done with the tree branches. Very natural. And enlarging the photo reveals the subtle gradation of the underbrush. Nice work.

Thanks for the comments, I just returned from Grand Rapids MI. There was tons of fantastic art, not much warm glass, although here's a link to a fused glass finalist.
