Books from the Light Reading series
I haven't been on WGBB for a while but that doesn't mean I haven't been working. Most of my work this past year has been on making glass books in a series called "Light Reading". I've been trying several versions of page formats and covers. Here is a stack made as a commission that I am particularly pleased with.

Bob, you ALLWAYS give me such a warm feeling as the excitement at viewing your work gives me. You are one of my ultimate creators of new and innovative glass and it is always a pleasure to view what you are up to now. Light Reading is stunning and simplistic and I would love to see them in the light in person. What a story they would tell.

What a "novel" idea. Nice work as usual.

Tim... "novel" idea... very good... consider yourself ripped off.
Here is another variation on the book theme. This is the first of my "songbooks". Like most of us I listen to a lot of music while working in the studio and Liesbeth and I love live music. Sometimes there is a line in a song that really catches my ear. In this case it was "the sweetness of the leaving " from Calling all Angels by Jane Sibbery. The text and image are decals. The wings were compiled and altered in photoshop. Hope you like them.
Cheers,
Bob

Gorgeous, precious, and thoughtful books, especially the songbook with the birds on the front seeming to communicate. Kudos again, Bob.

As a librarian, I can only wish these were sitting on my check out desk. As a glass-a-holic, I can only wish I could do this. I love all of your work and also wish to "someday" take one of your classes.

Continuing on the book theme... and seeing we have librarians in our midst.... here are 12 books that I completed in December and January that collectively reminded of a library table after a busy day.
Cheers,

Are those beauties filled with glass stories. Wow Bob, just incredible. I LOVE the lay out and it does remind me of a day of writing grants and things, Books everywhere. I wonder if we opened one and what words of wisdom would be written upon the glass. Les
