I want to experiment with making color bars (I think that's the term), but I have a kiln that heats from the sides. Since the glass will be surrounded by dams, is it possible to make these bars? Will the dams allow enough heat to get to the glass?
Disclaimer: I'm new to glass fusing so forgive me if it's a silly question.

Not a problem. I do it all the time.
