New Alchemy / Silver Experiements
I am having a wonderful time playing with the new Alchemy glass and have been amazed at all the possibilities and cannot sleep because I am so excited. Each layer is a different reaction all the way from Deep bronze to purple to a soft gold and silver ( best results with the 1401 crystal clear for soft gold look) . This experiment is 24 inchs wide and pushes the limits of my kiln and my deep Mold Mix 6 mold I made so I hope it works in the slump that is happening now.

The silver chemical transformation of colours look so different when put with different base colours and colours under and over. I have a birds nest also that just fired and the chemistry of the Alchemy with the silver is so exciting.
( this piece slumped nicely and will try to get a pic of it)Give out Free Hugs!

I have been playing a lot with the new Alchemy glass and am really enjoying the different reactions one can get and when deep slump, the silver is stretched and torn and gives some really interesting affects

Working on a silver and French Vanilla fumed large deep slump vessel also which will be really interesting as the outside will look so very different from the inside. Will try to get a photo when done but will take a few weeks to finish all slumps.

Beautiful as always. You inspire us all, and I thank you for your many posts. I can't imagine the amount of glass that you go through as well as the time and energy that it takes to do each piece.

Let me just say that husbands are not as enthusiastic as I am but oh dear eh!! just must create and experiment and create some more. You know what I am finding out tooo is that different silver foils are reacting incredibly different . Some are pure than others perhaps. Every colour of the rainbow!!! Oh so fun. Les
P.S. and thanks so much for your kind words.

New Experiments with Silver and Vitrograph Sky! so much fun. Blending will not be easy to finish this so will have to be a very abstract piece.
Hopefully the Fly Away into Vitro Sky piece will go with my vitro BowlGive out Free Hugs!
