I fused some red glass and it was fine, but I. used similar glass and did a lot melt at higher than fusing temps and it turned opaque, the other colors were fine, I thought maybe debit but it's happened 2 times same color.
does this happen to anyone

Very common, especial with reds. The higher the temperature, the more likely.
