Hi, I have been reading alot about making your own decals using a black laser printer. How do I find out which cartridges have iron oxide in them? I have done lots of google searches but can't see so not sure what printer to buy. I've read some HP cartridges and all Canon cartridges have it in however, the information is several years old and I dont want to purchase a printer if it isn't going to work.
Thanks Lisa (UK)

Re: Making your own decals
I'm not aware of a HP brand laser toner for black (not color) laser printers that doesn't work. Cartridges we know work include 12A, 35A, 36A, and 53A. I'm sure there are more that work, they keep adding new toner numbers all the time.
As for Canon, I know that some work, but can't say that all will.

I use a HP Laserjet printer and have been successful through a couple iterations of toner cartridges. Keep in mind the transfer of the decal you make will be sepia, not black.
