Kiln Question

Post by Mark Hughes »

I am finally getting back to fusing after a long break.
Is there anything I need to check before I test my kiln ( Glass Glow) after not using it for 10 years? It's got a nice Paragon controller that I don't want to mess up! #-o

Put some scrap glass in it. Small pieces, two layers thick, in various places in the kiln. Fire to a full fuse and see what happens. It will tell you if the kiln is working fine and if it heats uneven.
