Hello all-
I have some Reichenbach casting billets, but finding any technical info or firing schedule guidelines has proved beyond my googling abilites. I can't even find any info on its lead content, although in various fora I have seen anything from 25% to 45%.
The piece I'd like to cast is about 3" x 2.5" and it's a closed mold, and this schedule works like a dream when I cast it in Bullseye glass:
200/1000/2 hrs
100/1275/3 hrs
137/1530/6 hrs
68/1275/10 hrs
75/900/5 hrs
10/800/0
25/700/0
50/200/end
Any advice for a firing schedule for the Reichenbach? The only technical specs sheet I can find for it tells me it's 96 COE, upper casting temp 1454-1562, upper cooling point 833. How do you think I should modify my schedule for a test run?
Thanks!

Re: Casting Reichenbach?
Hi Amanda,
I know you posed these questions 10 months ago, but I'm wondering if you got any helping information? Did you cast your piece successfully?
I also have some Reichenbach clear billets I'd like to cast, and usually use Bullseye. According to Olympic Color Rod in Seattle, the COE is 96, and the percentage of lead is 15%. I found these two forms on their website: But surely there are people out there who do this more regularly and have a useful schedule to follow.
Would love to know what you have learned.
Thanks!

Er, Kris....Amanda's post was eleven years ago, but I'm sure someone will benefit from your post, too.
