Eye protection too! Put the bottle in warm water, in a disposable containter, as it will etch faster when warm. Brush on glass, wait 5 minutes, though more will not do any harm. Wash off with copious amounts of water. Don't forget that this cream works best on clear glass, and doing thin lines. If you etch broad areas it will look streaky, and it does not touch flashed. On colored cathedral glass the effects are very subtle. Have fun, be careful.

Do any firing first and then etch after if you want the etching to stay.Atticus wrote:Do I fire my piece first or does this even matter?
Thanks

How long you leave the Armour Etch on depends on the glass. Don't leave it more than 30 seconds with dichroic and one of the "Rub 'n Etch" stencils.
I etched this piece of dichroic, capped it with clear and then fused.
I have more info on etching in my "Chemical Etching" album if you want to know about making your own stencils, etching on ceramic tiles, etc.

Great page you have about etching.
May I include a link to it in the dictionary?
