element/fibre proximity

My elements are Kanthal, and the reply from the guy who supplied and wound them is, quote ".....they can touch fibre through leadouts but I would make sure spiral does not touch fibre, element will overheat. 25 mm clearance would be plenty"
25mm is close enough to 1 inch. When are you guys going to join the rest of the world anyway? Oh yeah that's right we're all joining you :wink:

Right, so instead of saying an inch, they say 25mm... they're still joing us!!!
