Still want texture after fusing glass....how hot can i go?

Post by deborahbur »

I have read the archives but would like some input on how hot I can fuse ( I am making tiles) and still keep the texture of the clear textured glass on top. The colored glass is going on the bottom. HELP please. I want the texture to stay. :D
Thanks

Try tack fusing at the lowest possible temp. I'd start at 1350 with a hold for 10 minutes and see what you get. Somewhere between there and 1400 will give you the lamination, but I expect that to get lamination, you will end up softening the texture a bit.

I don't mind loosing some texture, but the texture is why I am using this glass. I will try lower temp.
