I just pulled a 10"x10" square bowl out and it is all cockeyed. I think the mold is a bit askew, but also, I didn't take much time getting it level (too much time spent quiz making)

Anyway, my question is this, can I put it in another 10"x10" mold that is more uniform and reslump without firing it to flatten it first? It fits in the mold fairly well, but a couple of the corners are raised up about 1/4" about a third of the way into the piece and the holes are covered......will those corners relax into place or am I begging for a bubble?

I once slumped a 10 inch round piece into a mold that was a bit too small and then tried to reslump into a larger slump mold. What happened to me was that I got a large bubble at the bottom. I later, refused the piece to flatten, then reslumped again into the larger mold. It worked that time. When I slump, I only hold at 1300 for 10 minutes. I have wondered if increasing the time to 15 min would have resolved my bubble problem and saved me the time of going through the fusing process. Good luck

Well, what I did worked. I was reslumping a 10"x10" square in another 10" square mold as the first one left the bottom uneven and the bowl wouldn't sit level on a table. It sat funky in the new mold with 2 of the corners kind of flaired up a quarter of an inch or so, but it conformed to that mold fine in the end.

Did you have holes in your mold? Was the mold elevated off the kiln shelf? I doubt that holding any longer would have eliminated your bubble, once the air is trapped. And. 1300 seems awefully high.....I usually slump into ceramic at 1150.
