I'm teaching a class this summer in fused and stained glass. Would like recommendations on books with good information about kiln formed jewelry, as I have minimal experience in this area.

Jayne Persico's book is probably the best out there (there's not much else to choose from). It's very basic, mostly straightforward fusing and wire-wrapping. It has some brief introductory material and about 10 jewelry projects. The book is around 78 pages long.

If you're looking for information on the main processes Jayne teaches -- such as kiln-formed bracelets and glass embossing -- they are not included in this book. It's much more elementary than that (but probably worthwhile for someone just wanting to learn the basics).

The book is called "Innovative Adornments: An Introduction to Fused Glass and Wire Jewelry". It was published in 2002 by Wardell http://www.wardellpublications.com/

I agree that Jayne's book is the best out right now for jewelry. We use it in our fused jewelry class.
When it came out last June, we were told that it was the first of a series of 3 books. I'm hoping that maybe at the AGA convention in July Wardell will have a second book (hope,,,, hope,,,,,hope :D )
