Is hxtal glue a uv glue? I was talking to a glass artist about trying to afix bevels to clear with uv glue and not bing successsful because of all the tiny bubbles trapped. I tried around the edges and got ugly results, tried just at the cornors but worried about dust seeping between the glasses and fogging later, tried a thin film covering the whole side of one of the pieces to be joined and then tried coating both pieces, nothing worked. I believe he said he used hxtal. Am i correct in my poor feeble memories. He said that he put a layer on the piece to be joined, applied the piece, moved it slightly to squeeze out the bubbles and then let it set removing the excess later. If this is so, where does one order this from? Thanks ahaead of time. Ann D.

Hxtal is not an ultraviolet glue, it's epoxy. It's fairly expensive, but it does work well. You can get it here: http://www.hisglassworks.com

We use Kemcert or Locktite UV glue.

squeeze some glue on the glass and try not to form bubbles at this stage. Place your bevel gently on top. Then move the bevel in a circular motion while pressing on the bevel. This will remove the bubbles. You will see bubbles running to the edges.
