Hello, I am new to fusing and am just starting to research kilns. I was looking for some advice on a good medium sized starter kiln and controller. I realize there are a lot of sizes, brands, etc.. so this is a broad question but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I really don't think it matters. Any recommendation is just going to be someone's personal preference. Do your research and pick a kiln. You will learn THAT kiln well, in time, and be in a better position when, and if, you buy another. Brock

Give Marty a call at Centre DeVerre. The link is at the top of the page. You will find him to be a great help. Be sure and have a pencil and a note pad ready because he gives you tons of information. Last year I bought 2 kilns from him. I wanted to buy one large one but he talked me out of it, even though it was a $1000 less in his pocket. I trust him a lot.

Good luck

buy one size bigger than you can afford now. you'll outgrow anything, especially your first kiln, very quickly.
