new glass fuser in santa fe

hi,
i've been fusing glass for two weeks now and have two questions.
i'm using bulls-eye glass and am soaking at the 1500 for 10 minutes.
the last piece I did has a film over parts of it. it is not white, but
clear looking. I combined frit with different size pieces of glass on a
solid base. Am I leaving it at 1500 for too long? I did use some elmer's
glue to hold some of the pieces in place - could this have made a film?
Second, does 9-10 hours for being the fuse to ending it seem right.
I am doing 200-1100 for 30min, 100 - 1300 no hold, 600 to 1500 for
10 min, flash venting then going down 150 to 750.
thanks for any help anyone can give me.
Marilyn
