Ok, have been checking the pawn shops ect for used saws and found this one today. Original price at show was $199. When said that Harbor Frright had ot fpr $249 he went down to $176.

2 questions... is this a good saw? Will it cut pattern bars and the occasional 2 inch slab?

Is the price of $176 a good price for the saw? and how much will the blad cost me? Ok, so that was the 3rd question...

It is a good saw, cuts pattern bars just fine. My slabs are usually about 1" thick. But I am not so sure about 2" deep pieces. I don't have my manual on hand, but i think that the depth of cut is somewhere around 1 and 3/4" max.

Try to find an MK 100 if you want to be able to cut thicker stuff.
