Liquid Lust'er?

Anyone tried this product? Here's the description from Olympic Color Rods site:
Liquid Lust'er was designed to seal sandblasted colored glass. With the use of Liquid Lust'er, hazardous acids and oily products can be avoided. Liquid Lust'er addresses the unique problems associated with sealing glass: it is safe to use, easy to apply and dries hard.

Jerry... these ingredients were listed on the MSDS for the Liquid Luster
(BTW... it DOES say peuoleum...not petroleum...) Looks yummy.
Solvent naphtha (peuoleum)
medium aliphatic
Tung oil
Toluene
Triethylamine
Ethylbenzone
Manganese Carboxylate (Mn Neodecanote, Mn Propiona)
Cobalt Compounds

Liquid Luster is a product that was developed by Curtis Brock at the Appalachian Center for Crafts. He is now distributing it himself, or through HIS glassworks. It works like Armor All in softening a sandblasted texture. However, according to Curt, it does not need to be reapplied. When we taught at ACC, Curt demonstrated it's use. He applies three coats....letting each one dry thoroughly. With each subsequent coat, the pieces takes on more and more gloss so you can eventually achieve the type of look you want depending on the number of applications. Liquid Luster comes in a one pint can (approx $40) and can be diluted....I think with mineral spirits, but don't quote me on that.

The information I read on the Olympic Color Rods site said what you said. Including the mineral spirits part....
I don't know Curt Brock.... does he have an email or URL?

Curtis Brock is a well know glass blower. He's an Asst Prof and head of the glass department at ACC, which is a division of Tennessee Tech. You can contact Gail Dost: <
gdost@tntech.edu> and ask her to get an email message to Curt or for his address...I don't know it. Do a search and I'm sure you will come across some of his work.
