Fiberglass in firing

Post by Joanne Owsley »

Hello, all. I know there has been discussion before about using fiberglass and silica cloth. I did a search, but couldn't find an answer to this question, which I've asked before. I apologize for the redundancy, but I'm hoping someone can steer me in the right direction. Are there rigidizers that you can use with the fiberglass? I have access to a supply of fiberglass roving. I have some in my garage and am trying to figure out the best way to use it.

I guess I have a whole new area to explore....either that, or the results are so dismal as to be not worth comment. Oh well, the fiberglass roving is free, so far, so the only think I'll be wasting is my time!

Hi there... Have you tried colliodial silica aka rigidizer? I have only used it on fibreblanket/Kaowoo. I'd love to hear your results with using the fibreglass!
Happy experimenting, Victoria
