devit spray maturation temps

Post by Liam »

I am curently using borax as devit spray. It seems to me that there was a thread about a year ago about borax not maturing untill fairly hot temperatures were used. So does anyone know the minumum temperature for using borax, and, if I need to go cooler for just slumping, what spray should I use?

Thanks
Liam

It works for me at 1400ºF. I have not tried to push it lower so I can't comment.
