I have a lamp with formed pieces which need to be replaced. What is the best way to get a form that will match existing pieces?

The best way is to make your own form to exactly fit the opening...there are many methods of doing this...fiberpaper and rigidizer, various plater-like mold materials, having one made from stainless. See the archives for more information in mold-making and mold materials.

Good luck!

I've borrowed molds from another studio for bent panel lamps that were just right. These were exactly the right shape for all those Victorian knock-offs including the ones imported from China with the bead fringe around the bottom. I imagine those molds are still available, but have no clue of the source. For that matter, I've seen the slumped glass panels available somewhere.... let me check my Handley's catalog and see if they stock them.

Cheers,

Dani
