Spray A or Boarx between layers

Post by Mlynn »

If I was going to lay strips of glass at right angles to each other and the particular glass is prone to devitrification, I'd obviously use an overspray. But - must I be super careful to not get any in the "between" places or will it "Mature" there and be OB.

Ive had trouble with that myself. I used borax on a fused piece. I then sawed 3/8" strips, layed them up on t her sides and refused. I got a pretty cloudy finished product. I don't know weather that was due to the already fired devit spray between the strips, or due to rough surface left by the saw.
