screen printing/medallions?

Post by karnor »

I read some of the sections on the warmglass website about glass painting. I'm already painting using tracing black, but am interested in learning more about painting religious medallions. Is there a source for the screens to do this type of work? Or have I totally misunderstood the process?

In the screen printing process you buy blank pre-made screens and add your art work.

There are several different processes for transfering your designs to the screens for printing. Some of the processes are simple, such as directly drawing your designs on the screens and others get more involved, almost like a photographic process. You can use a computer and printer to do it too.

For more information on screen printing see the tutorial below.

Try Pocono Screen. Their wood screens are hard to beat, very heavy and rigid. Lots of other stuff too.
