uroboros murrini maker

Post by joan »

I used the murrini maker by Uroboros for the first time and it worked really well. Since i am a beginner, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how thick to slice the murrini if I want to incorporate it into a plate or bowl. Also what is the best way to cut it. I don't have a saw.
Has anyone else used the murrini maker? If you have, do you have any suggestions for using it.

Joan,

I have used the Uro murini mold many, many times and love it.

I use the mosiac nippers to cut the little bars. I usually decorate the edges of bowls, etc with the little pieces. I try to cut them in equal proportions so they flatten properly.

Enjoy your mold.
