Hi there.. I need to get hold of a large amount of wire suitable for inserting into fused work. The sort that doesn't discolour. I need to know what the composition of this stuff is - I think maybe it's silver plated, but that's as much as I know, which isn't a lot! Then I have to find out where to buy it economically.
Any help appreciated.

if you are looking for the type of wire commonly fused into jewelry pieces to create a bail afterwards it's nichromium wire and can be purchased by the spool at http://www.mcmaster-carr.comglassattack wrote:Hi there.. On your side of the pond, you should be able to get Nickel-Chromium wire (tradename Nichrome or Kanthal) from any place that winds heating elements or repairs industrial heating equipment.
