Bubbles at fusing tempeture

Post by skyeblue »

I have a new evenheat GTS 18-9 kiln (240 volt). Even when I take 3 1/2 hours to reach fusing tempture, and hold at 1350, I get bubbles in any piece over 2 by 2 inches. They appear rapidly. Many of these pieces are single thickness bullseye with small dichroic oramentation. Why?
