Generic pot melt

My kiln is only 6 inches deep, I would like to do a pot melt but I have not been able to figure out how to do that, so instead I was thinking of taking some scraps/ frit and melting them down in a cast paper weight mold, and then flatten that chunk ' o glass down to use in another design.
Is this possible? The piece would be about 3 inch diameter by 1.5 inch thick, Which would yield about a 7"x 1/4 inch blank? If this is possible, I am really wondering what temps I would need to flatten and anneal?

Thanks in advance,
Robin :)

You could do a potmelt if instead of the pot you used the 2" clay saucer that they sell to go along with the clay pot. Just use a chipping hammer or a chisel to knock a hole in the center.
